ANNAPOLIS, MD – For the second year in a row, Severn Savings Bank, through The Severn Sleigh, drove around Anne Arundel County – doing good deeds for the community and collecting toy donations to make the holidays a little brighter for those in need.
From December 10th through the 16th, The Severn Sleigh called on various establishments around the county, where they supported local businesses and visited local first responders, gave away fun prizes, and spread holiday cheer.
Each day, The Severn Sleigh also parked at local children’s stores, including Franklin’s Toys and Edgewater Books to receive donations for Toys For Tots.
“We were happy to participate in the Toys for Tots toy drive,” said Jeff Franklin, owner of Franklin’s Toys. “It is always our pleasure to work with a local business like Severn Savings Bank that is willing to put time and effort into helping children in need within our community.”
After the completion of this year’s Severn Sleigh, Nicole Donegan, Marketing and Communications for Severn Savings Bank said: “We had such a great response to the Sleigh the first year, we had to bring it back again this holiday season. We were thrilled that the community responded so well, allowing us to exceed the total community gift donation from last year.”
